The Roaring Fork Valley offers some of the most productive and consistent winter fly fishing anywhere in the West. A guided winter fly fishing trip is the perfect way to experience the beauty of this area and is a great break from the slopes.
Our fly fishing guides love winter fishing – as one of the few guide services operating year round we have the river to ourselves. The techniques used during the winter are easy for beginners to master, the fishing only gets harder as the year goes on! We provide all the equipment necessary and our guides are always prepared with extra layers and everything else that it takes to make you comfortable on the water.
We strongly recommend a half day of fishing timed to take advantage of the warmest part of the day, generally we like to be on the water from 11:00 – 3:00 or so. With an advance reservation we can pick you up at your door ready to go fishing.
